How to find Thornton le Dale
FROM WHITBY
- Take the left turn towards Thornton-le-Dale at the Fox & Rabbit Inn. Follow the road towards the village and about 50 yards before the juncton take the left turn onto Brook Lane. Follow the road and you will see Lumley Cottage opposite you as the road bends around to the right.
FROM SCARBOROUGH
-As you enter the village of Thornton-le-Dale you will cross over a small bridge then take the right turn immediately after it down Brook Lane. Lumley Cottage is on the right hand side of the street just as the road starts to bend round to the left.
FROM MALTON
-As you enter the village of Thornton-le-Dale you will follow the one-way system that brings you to the junction opposite Baldersons Cafe. Turn right and then first left before the small bridge. Lumley Cottage is on the right hand side of the street just as the road starts to bend round to the left.
FROM PICKERING
-As you enter the village of Thornton-le-Dale go past Baldersons Cafe and shop on the left hand side. Turn left and just before you cross the small bridge take the left turn down Brook Lane. Lumley Cottage is on the right hand side of the street just as the road starts to bend round to the left.
